Fridays, October 2–November 13 | 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
What if history was someone you actually knew?
During this 7-week Friday program, students will choose one remarkable person from history and spend the session getting to know them as more than a name, date, or paragraph in a textbook.
Students will research their person and the world they lived in, create a portrait, place their story on a collaborative timeline and map, design artifacts and museum labels, and build an exhibit that helps others understand who their person was and why their story matters.
Along the way, they'll also prepare to step into character—learning their person well enough to speak in first person and answer questions as the historical figure they've studied.
The session concludes with our People Fair Showcase during the week of November 17, where families will have the opportunity to explore the exhibits and meet the remarkable people our students have spent seven weeks discovering. Showcase date, time, and additional details will be announced soon.
